Somerville, Texas – I didn’t win this election last night, and it has been my joy and honor to try.
I set out on this campaign over 20 months ago in order to give myself, my family, and my neighbors a choice on the ballot, an opportunity. And we accomplished that. At the time of writing, I’ve received well over 94,000 votes, representing over 33% of voters who wanted a change. Their voices were heard loud and clear.
To all of our neighbors who supported my campaign, thank you. It’s been a pleasure to meet you all. To my husband, my family, and my closest friends, thank you. I couldn’t have done this without you at my side.
To Senator Lois Kolkhorst, congratulations on your victory. I hope that you heard the voices of all of our neighbors last night and use the power of your office to advocate for all of us. I look forward to watching your next term.
