I am formally endorsing Kim Olson for the next Texas State Democratic Party Chair.
(If you don’t know her yet, y’all should go check her out. She knows me.)
At a time when rural counties are desperately looking for leadership who will represent us, Kim Olson is one who knows firsthand that we need help organizing and recruiting candidates. She’s committed to providing that kind of support for folks all the way down the ballot.
Kim has personally spent time on the phone with me, offering help and encouragement. She does not pander to or patronize me for trying to do this monumental task out here in rural Texas. Kim’s reputation among the folks working for change in Texas is shining. I don’t ever have to wonder if she’s in my corner, because she checks in on me and even reached out to congratulate me on winning my primary. We know who she’s fighting for.
Y’all have heard me say this before, but I think it’s time for something new in Texas. That’s why I’m happy to endorse Kim Olson. She’s got my back.
